Chris Coleman made a special Christmas visit yesterday, surprising the pupils of Bradley Lowery's primary school in Blackhall.
Bradley sadly lost his battle with neuroblastoma in July, after touching the hearts of millions.
"For something that was obviously very sad, [it is an] incredibly powerful story really and the impact someone so young has had and not just on this area," the Sunderland manager said.
"I think everybody in football will know who Bradley is and the situation, and everybody's got such respect for him and his family and his school.
"I've just met his headmistress and the teachers - amazing people."
Sunderland defeated Fulham 1-0 at Stadium of Light this weekend, after 22 home games without a win and Bradley's mum said he would have celebrated like they'd won the Premier League.
