Sunderland have drawn Manchester City U21s in the quarter-finals of the Checkatrade Trophy.
Sunderland thrashed the U21 side of rivals Newcastle in front of a crowd of 16,654 to reach the last eight.
City are the only academy team left from the 16 that entered the competition following their 4-2 comeback victory over League One side Rochdale.
It is just the second time City's U21 team have competed in the tournament - they failed to qualify from their group last season.
Meanwhile, there's an all League One tie between Portsmouth and Peterborough.
Posh beat Chelsea U21s in the previous round, scoring three times in the second half having trailed at half-time.
Following their penalty shootout victory in the previous round, League Two Port Vale go to Bristol Rovers of League One.
Oxford United of League One also needed penalties to get past Cheltenham. They travel to League Two club Bury.
