Albania captain thrilled with Euro draw

Lorik Cana has expressed his delight after Albania were pitted against France in the Euro 2012 qualifying draw. Cana had spent his entire professional career in France before joining Sunderland from Marseille last summer. He admits he always supports Les Bleus at major tournaments and he is relishing the chance to face them in a competitive fixture. The combative midfielder, Albania's captain, is confident his side can do well in a group that also contains Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belarus and Luxembourg. "I will finally be able to play France," Cana told La Provence. "I have wished for it for so long, as a former PSG and Marseille player and now Albanian captain. "When Albania is not in a competition I am Les Bleus' fan. "Except for France, which is above every other team, the group is quite consistent."

Pjanic

Bosnia-Herzegovina will also be looking to challenge for qualification and Miralem Pjanic hopes to enjoy a strong campaign. The Lyon playmaker is also pleased to have been drawn against Luxembourg, having played for the country at Under-17 level. "It is a nice draw. I will meet friends again in France and Luxemburg," said Pjanic. "But the most important thing is to get qualification. We have a really good opportunity and I hope to achieve it."
