Dutchman hopes to beat compatriot at Stadium of Light

Sunderland's Bolo Zenden hopes it will be a day of mixed feelings for compatriot Edwin van der Sar on Sunday. The veteran Dutch keeper and his Manchester United team-mates head to the Stadium of Light sitting a point behind leaders Chelsea with just two games to play as the title race hots up. While Dutch international Zenden says it will be great to see his compatriot and he wishes him all the best, he hopes the Black Cats will win to dent United's title hopes. The midfielder told the club's official website: "It will be good to see each other again. He is unbelievable. Him signing for another year at United and still playing at the top level is fantastic.

Doing best

"I am really pleased for him and wish him all the best - but on Sunday, we will be doing our best to get a result. "Mathematically, it is still possible to finish higher up the table, so we have plenty to play for." Zenden, who is currently mulling over the offer of a further year at Sunderland after proving a success since his departure from Marseille, is relishing the prospect of playing the current champions in front of a packed house. He added: "The whole squad is looking forward to the game. The stadium will be a sell-out and we have done well at home. "The good thing is United are still playing to win the title, so they have to come here and do something. "But while they want to be champions, we want to get something good out of the game as well and finish in the top half."
