Ghana ace on his way to Middle East
Skysports.com understands that Sunderland have agreed to loan Asamoah Gyan to UAE club Al-Ain.
The 25-year-old was the subject of interest this summer and was strongly linked with Tottenham, Galatasaray and Marseille before the transfer window in Europe shut.
It seemed that Gyan would therefore remain with Sunderland, but now
skysports.com can confirm that he is set for a loan move away from the club.
Sunderland have agreed to let Gyan go to Al-Ain, who will pay an undisclosed fee to take him for the season.
The Black Cats and Al-Ain are both expected to announce the deal on Saturday, with Gyan having already agreed personal terms.
