Former Hull chairman not in bid for Derby
Adam Pearson has brushed off rumours he is spearheading a bid to buy Derby County.
Newspaper reports have claimed that the former Hull City chairman is looking to complete a takeover at Pride Park.
But Pearson, who recently handed over control at The KC Stadium, feels it is 'ridiculous' that he is constantly linked with offers for other clubs.
"If I say anything it will just give credence to it and I'm just not prepared to comment, I'm sorry I cannot be more helpful," Pearson told the Derby Evening Telegraph.
"If I commented every time somebody put something in the paper about us buying a club at the minute, I would be on the phone all day.
"We have been linked with a number of clubs and it's just ridiculous."
Several parties have been mooted as holding an interest in buying The Rams, although the Premier League strugglers have said they are not going to comment on 'ongoing speculation in the national press'.
