Derby midfielder Robbie Savage has announced he will retire from football at the end of the season.
The former Wales international declared on his
Twitter page: "Breaking news I will retire at the end of the season!!"
Savage was recently linked with a move to the Vancouver Whitecaps but has also been involved in media work and wrote: "Two TV deals are on the table and a host of radio shows!! Good time to go!"
Savage, 36, began his career on Manchester United's books before moving on to Crewe.
He came to prominence at Leicester, before having spells with Birmingham and Blackburn and joining his current club Derby in 2008.
He quit international football in 2005, after winning 39 caps.
