Preston have signed Danish striker Simon Makienok on loan from Palermo for a year.
Makienok's loan will officially start on July 1 and he becomes Preston's second summer signing following the arrival of goalkeeper Chris Maxwell last month.
"I am delighted to add Simon Makienok to our striking options at the club," said Preston manager Simon Grayson.
"His height, plus of course his international experience, brings us a different dimension to the squad and provides us further options at the top end of the pitch."
Makienok, who has made six senior appearances for Denmark, has previous experience of the Sky Bet Championship having spent last season on loan at Charlton.
He started out at Danish Superliga side Brondby, where he scored 35 goals in 74 appearances, before moving to Italian club Palermo in 2014.
