Preston poised to land Torquay defender
Sky Sports sources understand Preston North End are poised to sign Torquay defender Chris Robertson.
The 25-year-old Scottish defender is having a medical after an undisclosed fee was agreed with the Gulls.
Robertson has been with the South Coast side since 2007 after leaving Sheffield United and has become a key performer.
The stopper, who had been out of contact in the summer, has made 25 League Two appearances for Torquay this season.
New Lilywhites boss Graham Westley has already been busy in January, bringing in no less than five fresh faces this month.
