Newly-promoted Preston host a Middlesbrough side looking to bounce back from play-off final agony on the opening day of the Championship season.

Simon Grayson's side travel across the Pennines to take on Rotherham the following weekend for their first away day of the campaign.

North End take on Lancashire rivals Blackburn at Deepdale on October 21 before another Red Rose clash, this time away at Burnley, two weeks later.

Boxing Day sees the Lilywhites on the road again, this time at Huddersfield but they end the season as they start it, at home. Leeds United the visitors on the final day.
