Wolves captain Danny Batth signs new four-year deal

Wolves captain Danny Batth has signed a new four-year contract with the Sky Bet Championship club.

Batth, who turned 26 on Wednesday, has played 159 times for Wolverhampton Wanderers, having joined the club as a 10-year-old.

He will now remain at Molineux until the summer of 2020 and is looking forward to what the future holds, both for him and the club.

"I am delighted to commit my future to the club and a club that I have been on a great journey with so far," he told Wolves' official website.

"I also hope during my continued association with the club that we will obviously progress and we will reach the Premier League.

"I am obviously happy with my performances so far but I like to feel that I can still get better. It is hard to sum up my feelings about Wolves. It is in my blood, it is my daily routine, it is everything that I know.

"Wolves are special to me and something I take very seriously. I always want to look at the long term and try to help us move in the right direction.
