Quintet could feature in Premier League finale
Wolves boss Terry Connor has revealed he could welcome up to five players back from injury for their final game of the season at Wigan on Sunday.
The Premier League's bottom side bow out of the top flight following the game at the DW Stadium after a three-year stay.
Connor will hope to end a desperately disappointing campaign on a high by claiming a first win since taking charge back in February.
His chances of victory against the Latics could be boosted by the return of Matt Jarvis and Kevin Foley.
The duo missed last weekend's goalless draw with Everton but could be fit enough for Sunday while Christophe Berra and Michael Kightly - who were both forced off early against the Toffees - could also be okay to feature.
On-loan defender Sebastien Bassong is another who sat out last weekend's game but is set to return to training this week and is in contention.
"Kevin Foley is progressing nicely," Connor told the
club's official website.
"He has had another scan just to see the extent of the damage but he has been out on the pitch with the medical people, so hopefully he is on the road to recovery.
Daily basis
"Matt Jarvis is very similar. So we will assess them almost on a daily basis and see how they feel about the extent of their injuries.
"Christophe [Berra] had a calf spasm and once it settles down he will have a chance to play and with Michael [Kightly] it's like Matt Jarvis' - a slight abductor muscle strain.
"I expect Sebastian [Bassong] sometime this week - a couple of days physio and he'll be back out training."
Connor had less positive news regarding young midfielder David Davis.
The 21-year-old was ordered by specialists to rest completely for the last two weeks after sustaining a freak eye injury during training and is unlikely to be match-fit for Sunday.
"He had to shut down completely so to ask him to get back up to speed for one game might be asking too much," added Connor.
"But we will wait for an okay from the specialist, so that he can at least start his rehab work again."
