Capital One Cup: Chris Wilder revels in Northampton's shock win over Wolves

Northampton manager Chris Wilder hailed his League Two team after they caused a Capital One Cup upset with a shock 3-2 win at Championship Wolves.
Debutant Lawson D'Ath's double and a strike from Ivan Toney earned Northampton their shock success after an enthralling five-goal second half.
After D'Ath and Toney had put Northampton 2-0 up, Nouha Dicko and Sam Ricketts hauled Wolves level - but D'Ath headed a 74th-minute winner.
Wilder said: "This is what cup ties are all about. If you don't give in and keep going to the end you might get something from the game and we managed to do that.
"One thing I have spoken about is that if we are to have a decent season we have to be resilient and when things go against us I want to see what my players are all about - and tonight they have answered in the best possible way.
"They dug in and they had to defend for their lives at times. But saying that we did better on the counter and I thought we were always a threat.
"I said to the players at half-time that we needed to show a bit more belief with our play and show we were better than we were in the first half. We did that and it has been a good night for us.
"But they will be back down to earth tomorrow as I don't want us to be an up and down team. I don't want us to play like we did tonight and then go to York on Saturday and not turn up.
"But we have all been in the game long enough to know nights like this happen. There is always an upset and we talked about it and said why can't it be us? Thankfully it has been."
On D'Ath's dream debut, Wilder added: "He is a technically very gifted player and has an eye for a goal.
"You saw the reaction of the players when he scored. He has come into the club and done extremely well.
"We wanted to get him on the pitch and he popped up with two goals which is great. He has got loads of energy and it is a great start for him."
Wolves manager Kenny Jackett, whose side had three first-half efforts disallowed for offside, said: "I felt our passing and control of the game was good but we didn't capitalise on that.
"Fair play to Northampton, they played very well, defended well and on the break they had a lot of chances and a lot of shots.
"Two of the three goals were from set-pieces and it is something we are normally very reliable and good at."
As for the pursuit of Leicester striker Chris Wood, he added: "It looks like that one has passed and we are moving on. We didn't get a deal agreed with either the club or the player."
