Wolves legend Malcolm Finlayson has died aged 84.
The goalkeeper was taken ill suddenly and passed away yesterday afternoon at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.
He made 203 appearances in all competitions for Wolves after signing from Millwall in 1956.
He was part of Wolves' legendary title-winning squads in 1958 and 1959 and also won the FA Cup in 1960.
"Everyone at the club was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Malcolm's death," chief executive Jez Moxey told the club's official site.
"Not only was he a member of the Wolves Hall of Fame and a legendary former player, but he remained part of the fabric of the club becoming chairman, and then recently, president, of the Wolves Former Players Association, working tirelessly on behalf of former players for a number of years.
"Our deepest condolences go to Malcolm's partner, Angela, his daughter, Sandra and her husband, Mel, and all his family and friends."
The Wolves squad will be wearing black armbands for Saturday's trip to Brentford and the club plan a full tribute in their next home game against Bournemouth on December 6.
