Striker Jay Rodriguez remains with Southampton

Jay Rodriguez will not be leaving Southampton on loan, despite interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
The news confirms a report on skysports.com three days ago, which said Saints had changed their mind on allowing the 27-year-old to move away from the club on transfer deadline day.
The striker had been struggling to recapture the form he showed before suffering a bad injury over two years ago.
West Brom, Sunderland, Hull and Watford were interested in his signature and, at one stage, Saints were apparently happy to allow him to leave in order to find regular first-team football away from St Mary's.
However, after the Burnley-born player had scored a late equaliser against Sunderland on Saturday, Southampton manager Claude Puel decided he wanted Rodriguez to remain on the south coast.
Rodriguez had scored 17 goals for Southampton during the 2013/14 season, before being stretchered off the park with a ruptured cruciate ligament against Manchester City in April.
He did not play first-team football again for 16 months and his goal against Sunderland was his first in the Premier League since recovering from injury.
Rodriguez has been with Southampton since 2012 when he joined in a £6m deal from Burnley and had hoped to go out on loan but this has now been blocked by his manager.
