WATCH: Stoke fans protest at full-time after Newcastle defeat
Monday 1 January 2018 20:03, UK
Stoke fans made their anger heard at full-time as they called for Mark Hughes to be sacked following the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Premier League.
Hughes left the field to cries for him to quit from his own supporters after Ayoze Perez's winner 17 minutes from time meant 2018 kicked-off in the same vein as 2017 for Hughes, who now has overseen seven defeats in his last 10 matches.
Stoke, who have won only two in 12, drop one place to 16th and remain two points clear of the drop zone.
Cries of "you're being sacked in the morning" were heard after the goal, and there were boos from Stoke fans at the final whistle, while a 'Hughes Out' banner was on display.
