Premier League target signs new deal
Norwegian ace Erik Huseklepp has ended speculation over his future by signing a new deal at SK Brann.
The highly-rated 25-year-old was strongly linked with a move to England during the January transfer window, with Stoke and Newcastle thought to be keen on his signature.
Huseklepp is regarded as one of the best players in Scandinavia and a number of clubs across Europe have been keeping tabs on his situation.
However, Brann have managed to keep hold of the attacking midfielder having not received a suitable bid for Huseklepp's services.
Huseklepp has inked a contract extension to keep him at Brann until 2013 and he is happy to have resolved his future.
"I am pleased," Huseklepp told
TV2. "I can now concentrate on the football.
"In case I had been selfish, I could have waited until my contract expires, but I don't want to leave the club on a free transfer."
