Skysports.com understands that Stoke City could move for want-away Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia.
Throughout the summer the France international has been linked with a transfer away from the DW Stadium.
Birmingham City have been strongly credited with an interest in N'Zogbia and recently saw a bid accepted for his services.
However, the proposed move broke down after the player failed to agree personal terms with the Blues
Stoke boss Tony Pulis is said to be an admirer of N'Zogbia's talents and is now weighing up a transfer deadline swoop.
The 24-year-old, who joined Wigan from Newcastle last year, has made just one league start this season.
