Stoke City have confirmed that Eidur Gudjohnsen is at the Britannia Stadium to discuss a proposed season-long loan. In progress from the news which broke revealed by skysports.com over the weekend, the former Chelsea player has flown in to England to hold talks with manager Tony Pulis after an agreement was reached with Monaco. Gudjohnsen, 31, spent the second half of last season on loan at Tottenham and is thought to be keen on a return to the Premier League. The technically gifted ex-Barcelona player has therefore been targeted by Pulis in order to provide Stoke with an alternative attacking option.
