Stuart Gray happy to work with director of football at Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray has welcomed the prospect of working alongside a new director of football.
The club's new owner Dejphon Chansiri, who completed his £37.5million takeover earlier this month, has made no secret of his plan to install someone to oversee the club's football operations on the recommendation of former chairman Milan Mandaric.
Chansiri has promised to lead Wednesday back to the top flight by 2017 and although Gray - told his job is safe by the new chairman - said nothing had yet been confirmed, he was not opposed to the idea.
"Once we've got an announcement to make we'll make it," said Gray, whose mid-table side take on Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield on Saturday.
Asked if he would be happy to work under a director of football, Gray said: "I think so. The game is changing. It's not only a director of football, it's the knowledge of overseas (footballers) as well.
"Unfortunately the British prices are inflated when you try and sign players, so maybe we have to try and look further afield for those uncut diamonds.
"Director of football oversees all football matters, even probably down to the playing surfaces, the academy as well, that's what I see as the role.
"It might take some of the workload off me. At the end of the day, if we bring somebody in that's going to help get Sheffield Wednesday to the Premier League, I'm all for that."
