Crystal Palace suspend academy director Gary Issott over 'disciplinary matter'

Crystal Palace have suspended academy director Gary Issott over a "disciplinary matter".

The Premier League side say they have received no complaints from players in the club's academy set-up, or their parents, but will now carry out an investigation "after receiving information".

A statement from the club read: "Crystal Palace Football Club has suspended its academy director over a disciplinary matter.

"No complaints were received from members of the academy or their parents, but the club is carrying out an investigation after receiving information.

"The findings will be passed to the Football Association, which has imposed an interim suspension while the investigation is under way".

Issott has been at Crystal Palace for over 20 years and has helped develop current Premier League players including Wilfried Zaha, Victor Moses and Nathaniel Clyne.
