Ipswich full-back targets strong finish to the season

Carlos Edwards has expressed his delight after agreeing a 12-month contract extension at Ipswich Town to keep him at the club until the end of next season. The 33-year-old defender has been negotiating with the club for a month, and the deal comes with an option of a further year. He has played in all but one of the Tractor Boys' Championship fixtures this season, firmly establishing himself as the club's first choice right-back. "I'm delighted to be staying at Ipswich and that the contract situation is all sorted now," a delighted Carlos told the club's official website. "My family are happy here and this is where I want to see my children grow up. "Everything is done and dusted now and I'm delighted to be staying at Ipswich, as it feels like home now. "Hopefully now we can finish strongly, try and win as many games as possible and set down a marker for next season."
