Burnley's James Tarkowski charged by FA after Glenn Murray clash in Brighton draw

Burnley's James Tarkowski has been charged with violent conduct by the FA after appearing to elbow Brighton's Glenn Murray in Saturday's Premier League game.
Murray fired over a first-half penalty after a tangle of legs with Tarkowski as the sides played out a 0-0 stalemate on Saturday, but referee Chris Kavanagh did not see an incident between the pair 10 minutes later.
Replays showed Tarkowski appear to elbow Murray in the ribs, an action which Brighton boss Chris Hughton thought should have brought another penalty and potential red card.
"We should have had another penalty, when there was a good old-fashioned challenge between Murray and Tarkowski - which we all want to see - but it should have led to a penalty," said Hughton.
Tarkowski has until 6pm on Tuesday to respond.
A panel of three former elite match officials assess off-the-ball incidents which are not seen at the time.
For retrospective action to be taken, and an FA charge to follow, the decision of the panel must be unanimous.
