Wade Elliott says Burnley's fight for Premier League survival is affecting him both on and off the pitch.
The Clarets are second bottom of the league table with just eight games to play, having lost nine of their last 11 games in the top flight to leave them three points from safety on the run-in.
Elliott and his team-mates now prepare to meet fellow strugglers Wigan knowing they only have eight games to play this term.
And Elliott admits he is starting to feel the pressure now as the end of a troubled season draws near.
Taking it personally
"We take it home with us as everyone wants to correct the results we have had over the past couple of months," said Elliott.
"When you go home you try not to take it out on the people around you.
"All the lads are passionate about their careers so it is difficult when things are not right."
The Southampton-born midfielder explained how he and team-mate Graham Alexander had been at loggerheads on a number of occasions over their side's results.
"Me and Grezza argue like cat and dog and then we walk off the pitch or leave the training ground and it's done," he said.
"There is nobody in the squad I respect more than Grezza, but we row all the time.
"That is probably a healthy sign, that everyone can have their say, but there is nothing lingering after.
"If we fall short of anything, it won't be a lack of fight."
