Striker to ink three-year deal at Carrow Road

Skysports.com understands Steve Morison has agreed personal terms and passed a medical ahead of his move from Millwall to Norwich. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week Norwich finally agreed a fee with Millwall for the Welsh international on Thursday after having several bids rejected. Morison underwent a medical at Carrow Road on Friday and the 28-year-old has agreed a three-year deal to join the Premier League new boys. The 28-year-old becomes Paul Lambert's second signing of the summer following the arrival of James Vaughan from Everton. Morison has defended his decision to seek the move to Norwich despite only signing a new deal at Millwall in January. "When I signed the contract in January the agreement with the club was that I would stay until the end of the season - and I did that," Morison told The Sun.

Fuss

"Had I wanted to, I could have kicked up a fuss and left then because there offers on the table. "But I stayed and signed the new contract, like the club wanted me to do, on the understanding that if a Premier League club came in for me, we would have a look at it. "There was nothing written in my contract but I had conversations with the club and they knew my position. They would have been naive not to. "They were well aware of my ambitions. "I told them if we didn't get into the Premier League ourselves and the opportunity came up this summer for me to do so, it was an opportunity I wanted to take. "Now a Premier League club have come in for me and I feel it is the right time to go. New contract or no new contract." "The last few days have been a bit of a circus but at the end of the day, had I not put in that request or signed that deal, Millwall would be sitting here with a player with just 12 months left on his contract and worth nothing. "It's the right move for me at the right time and hopefully it will be good for all parties."
