Norwich boss Paul Lambert has leapt to the defence of his team amid accusations they are a 'big side'.
The Canaries flew up to 10th in the table after beating Newcastle 4-2 at Carrow Road last time, with Grant Holt and Steve Morison both heading home in the victory.
That made it 10 headed goals for the Premier League newcomers this term - the most in the top flight - but Lambert insists that is down to desire, rather than just stature.
He told the
Daily Star: "People keep saying that we are a really big side, but I think that maybe they should look at us a little bit closer.
Disrespectful
"What they are saying is wrong and disrespectful. And it's just not a true comment because the one thing we're not is a big side.
"If people are saying that, then some of our players, such as Wes Hoolahan and David Fox, must have grown a few inches overnight!
"What we are doing is competing well, giving good teams a game and scoring goals and I think we deserve some credit for that."
And the Canaries boss praised the desire Holt and Morison are showing to get their goals.
"We are scoring a lot of headers because Holt and Morison are putting their heads in where it hurts and that is great from our point of view," he said.
Real desire
"But it's not something we work on or practise. It's just something that comes from players with a real desire to get their head to a ball in the box.
"Holt and Morison have been brilliant for us in that respect and they are both physical players with a real presence.
"But they can both play a bit as well, like a lot of our players.
"So I'm delighted with the way things are going because nobody expected us to be in this position."
