Canaries keeper unhappy with Wigan performance
Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy is focused on Premier League survival after his side's below-par performance against Wigan.
The Canaries' 1-1 draw with the Latics was their third game without a win, but Paul Lambert's side remain 14 points clear of the drop zone with just 10 games left this season.
Although Norwich are likely to avoid relegation, Ruddy was unhappy with his side's display at the weekend and believes they need to concentrate on securing their Premier League status.
Sluggish
"We were sluggish against Wigan, and we will be the first to admit that. But we will take the positives out of getting a point against a side fighting for their lives - it is a point towards the bigger picture and that is staying in this league," he said.
"Overall the whole team was below par and this is not the sort of performance that we expect from ourselves.
"That is an indication of how far we have come in a short space of time and of how we have been performing this season.
"But it is just a case of picking up points where we can - it was a below-par performance, but we still managed to pick up a point, which means we are a point closer to Premier League safety."
England
The former Everton and Cambridge United shot-stopper's performances have led to calls for him to be in England's Euro 2012 squad, but Ruddy is remaining grounded.
"It would be a massive achievement for myself and my career," he said. "But it's not something that I am desperate for or something I am losing sleep over.
"My performances for Norwich is the main thing and if I keep performing well for them then who knows?"
