Norwich have confirmed striker Kyle Lafferty has joined Turkish club Caykur Rizespor on loan until the end of the season.

The Northern Ireland international, 27, joined the Canaries from Palermo in the summer for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular.

A statement on the Norwich website said: "Kyle Lafferty has moved on loan to Turkish side Caykur Rizespor.

"The Northern Ireland international joins the Super Lig outfit after 20 appearances for the Canaries this season, scoring once. He will stay in Turkey until the end of the season.

"Lafferty linked up with City in the summer on a permanent deal from Palermo after top-scoring for the Italian side last season.

"The 27-year-old started his career at Burnley before spells at Rangers and FC Sion."
