Jamar Loza's joy at scoring his first goal for Norwich was overshadowed by their failure to secure a vital victory as they rescued a 2-2 draw at Huddersfield.
The 20-year-old academy graduate, who was introduced off the bench in the 86th minute, struck in the eighth minute of stoppage time in an incredible finale.
It came just two minutes after former City striker James Vaughan - sent off for a second booking for his celebrations - had seemingly handed Town the points.
The draw saw Norwich lose ground on the top two, with them sitting five points adrift with eight games remaining in the Sky Bet Championship.
Loza told Norwich City TV: "I'm happy to score my first goal but it's mixed emotions because I'm disappointed we didn't win.
"It's all a bit of a blur now but I thought the referee was going to blow any second. We got the ball straight into their box, started causing confusion and it dropped to me.
"I stretched back to get it, took a shot and happily it went in. I was buzzing after the game and was shaking because I couldn't believe it.
"The top ones are a little further away from us so it's going to be difficult but I'm sure we'll bounce back at the weekend. I still think other teams are going to drop points so it's up to us to win the rest of our games."
