Coventry chief executive Steve Waggott has announced he has quit the club.
Waggott had been at the Sky Blues for four years and helped them return to the Ricoh Arena last season after they spent time playing in Northampton.
He also helped appoint boss Tony Mowbray earlier this year and the Sky Blues are fourth in Sky Bet League 1, a point behind joint leaders Walsall and Burton.
"I have decided after four years, and with the club in a good position, that now is the time to move on," said Waggott.
"Anyone who has worked with me over this time knows the time and commitment I have put into the job in challenging circumstances. I have been living away from home for that period and feel it is now right to step away and allow the club to continue to progress.
"We sit a point off the top of the table, there is stability in the managerial and coaching situation and the club is back in its home city - all things I wanted to assist in achieving.
"I have got to know a great many people in Coventry and Warwickshire - supporters, community representatives and business figures - and have forged some strong friendships in what have been turbulent times - and for that I am very grateful.
"I wish the club and its supporters all the very best for the future."
Coventry chairman Tim Fisher added: "I'd like to place on record the club's thanks for everything Steve has achieved during his time with the club.
"His commitment, market knowhow and experience has been invaluable to Coventry City over what has been a challenging period for the club and he leaves with the club heading forwards in the right direction."
