Young Sky Blues goalkeeper departs on loan

Coventry goalkeeper Danny Ireland has agreed a month-long loan deal with Blue Square Premier side Forest Green Rovers. The 21-year-old Australian has been on trial with Rovers recently and has impressed manager David Hockaday. Ireland, who is Chris Coleman's third-choice at the Ricoh Arena behind Keiren Westwood and Dimi Konstantopoulos, will hope to help steer the club away from the drop zone. He is expected to go straight into Hockaday's first-team squad for the weekend fixture at Kidderminster.
