QPR midfielder Ryan Manning has signed a contract extension with the Championship club.

The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half-year deal to keep him at Loftus Road until the summer of 2019.

The news caps a memorable three weeks for the Irishman who only made his first-team debut against Wolves on New Year's Eve.

He told the club's official website: "When I went back home for Christmas for a couple of days I had no idea this would happen.
