Steve McClaren set to be sacked by QPR following defeat to Bolton

Steve McClaren is set to be sacked by QPR on Monday after less than 11 months in charge of the club, according to Sky sources.

Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Bolton Wanderers leaves the club 17th in the Sky Bet Championship - eight points above the relegation places.

McClaren was appointed manager at Loftus Road on May 2018 on a two-year contract replacing Ian Holloway, who had been sacked by the club a week earlier.

He became QPR's fifth manager since being relegated from the Premier League in 2015.

QPR lost their first four games in the Championship under McClaren but then went on to win eight of their next 13.
