Warnock excited by new signing at Loftus Road
Queens Park Rangers have snapped up Cypriot midfielder Georgios Tofas on a contract until the end of the season.
Tofas has been training with the Championship club in recent weeks after his departure from Anorthosis Famagusta.
The 21-year-old has previously been on the books of AEK Athens and is looking forward to making an impact at Loftus Road.
"QPR is such a big club and I'm happy to be here," Tofas told the club's
official website. "I'll give my best for the club.
"My first objective is to get into the team and then show the boss and the supporters what I am capable of."
Work ethic
The Rs are awaiting international clearance on Tofas, who is expected to return to full training in the next 10 days after a hamstring injury.
Manager Neil Warnock said: "Georgios is somebody who has excited me when I have watched him.
"He looks like our type of player - he can take men on, yet he knows he has to work hard for the rest of the team. He has got the right work ethic.
"The chance to bring him in until the end of the season was too good an opportunity for me to turn down."
