Premier League clubs interested in Rangers midfielder

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Alejandro Faurlin is attracting interest from two Premier League clubs and a Serie A side, according to his agent. The Argentine has enjoyed an excellent start to the season with the newly-promoted side, prompting attention from elsewhere. Faurlin is contracted to the Loftus Road side until 2014 and his agent Lucas Cominelli acknowledges his client is happy with the club. Cominelli insists he has not been touting Faurlin around, stating clubs have been in touch with him. "I'm not encouraging calls because Ali is very happy at QPR," he commented. "But when the phone rings and there are two Premiership teams and one from Serie A expressing their admiration, it's a testimony to the way Ali has started in the top flight."

Relishing

Meanwhile, Jamie Mackie is relishing QPR weekend's trip to Anfield to face Liverpool. "This is why I got involved in the game," the striker told the club's official website. "I am massively looking forward to this weekend. It is probably one of the highlight fixtures of the season. "Anfield is an unbelievable place to play football. It is going to be a great atmosphere up there, and I am sure our fans are looking forward to it as much as we are."
