Manager Chris Ramsey has admitted there have been offers for Charlie Austin, but said the striker could still start the season at QPR.
Austin, who scored 18 Premier League goals last term, made his second pre-season appearance in the Hoops' 2-1 friendly win over Dundee United on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs, including Newcastle, Leicester and Crystal Palace, but QPR are believed to be holding out for around £15m for the former Burnley striker.
"There have been offers," Ramsey told Sky Sports News HQ. "A player of Charlie's ability, there will always be speculation.
"At the moment, there has been nothing concrete. We've had offers that we've rejected, and we've had offers that Charlie himself has not been happy to take on.
"At the moment, he's a QPR player and he's working hard in training. I'm having the idea that he will be here into the season. If he is here during the season then he is going to be someone that we want to use."
Despite the speculation regarding his future, Austin revealed last week that he is more than prepared to start the season in the Championship.
"(The speculation) is for other people to worry about," Austin told QPR's official website. "That’s for Les Ferdinand, Chris Ramsey, my agent and Tony Fernandes to sort out.
"For me, I'm here to get my head down and work as hard as I can, hopefully play in a couple of games and prepare for Charlton on the 8th of August.
"Until I'm told otherwise, I'm a QPR player and I'm preparing for the Championship next year, and if I'm told otherwise, then so be it."
