Jamie Vardy has been named Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year for 2015-16 after a remarkable season with Leicester.
However, it wasn't that long ago that the striker was playing non-league football with Fleetwood Town.
Vardy joined Fleetwood in 2011, scoring 31 league goals in his first season to help the club get promoted and earn himself a move to Leicester.
We spoke to his former team-mate at Fleetwood, Andy Mangan, to find out what Vardy was like to play with and hear about his initial surprise at the move.
"I thought who are we signing from Halifax?" says Mangan. "But once he got into training and you saw him play you knew he was pretty special.
"I played on the left and he played on the right of a front three and I set him up for a lot of goals. We had such a good side, we were probably the best team to come out of the Conference."
