Former Leicester defender Steve Walsh thinks the appointment of Brendan Rodgers marks the start of a new era at the Premier League club.
Walsh, who played for Leicester between 1986-2000, thinks the appointment of manager Rodgers is the change the team needed after Claude Puel was sacked on Sunday.
"It's not just the Premier League for Brendan. He'll be working with some great young talented footballers, but there's a great blend of experience in this squad," he said.
"It didn't seem right, something just didn't click with Claude Puel. It's a new era for Leicester City now.
"I know that he's always been interested in bringing youngsters through and I have a really good feeling that he's going to do well.
"He's certainly got the experience working with the younger lads. The bond with the players is important and he'll get the respect of the players."
Rodgers returns to the Premier League for the first time since October 2015, despite the prospect of securing a third successive treble in Scotland.
"I feel sorry for Celtic, I think it's bad timing what's happened to them. Lennon is the right man to go in and it's worked out quite well for him," said Walsh.
"The bond he'll have with the crowd I think it's perfect for Celtic to guide them through as they're on the verge of winning the treble."
"We should be right up there with Watford and Wolves. Leicester City have a squad good enough to be up in the top eight."
Leicester travel to Watford with Rodgers set to manage the Midlands club for the first time against his old club on Super Sunday.
