Barnsley celebrated their promotion to the Championship by singing the viral 'Will Grigg's on fire' song

Barnsley's players broke into song after their League One play-off final win, chanting about Wigan's Will Grigg as they celebrated.

The popular chant has been making the rounds since Latics fan Sean Kennedy debuted the song earlier in the season, switching up the lyrics to 'Freed from Desire' by Gala.

It's all in honour of the Wigan and Northern Ireland striker Grigg who smashed in 28 goals this season - with three of those coming against Barnsley.

This chanting sensation has spread to the football stands after being adopted by the Wigan faithful with the victorious Tykes also singing the forward's name as they danced around the trophy and celebrated in front of their own fans.

Hull City were also filmed singing the same chant in their Wembley dressing room following their own play-off final win against Sheffield Wednesday yesterday.

Barnsley now join Wigan in the Sky Bet Championship next season where they will once again come up against Grigg.
