Joe Williams' stunning 30-yard effort steered Barnsley to all three points in an entertaining 4-2 win over struggling Burton at the Pirelli Stadium.

The England Under-20 international will probably struggle to score a more spectacular goal for as long as he plays the game after booming in a left-footed shot from long range.

Barnsley head coach Paul Heckingbottom admits he was about to berate the on-loan Everton midfielder for attempting an effort from there, but the result left him eating his words.

"I was just about to let him have one to be fair, shooting with his left foot from there," Heckingbottom said.

"It was the first real moment of quality in the game if I am honest. It was a war of attrition up until then."

Victory handed Barnsley their first win in four games, and they are now six points above Sunderland, who sit 22nd.
