Huddersfield forward heads to Championship for rest of season
Sky Sports understands Kallum Higginbotham has joined Barnsley on loan from Huddersfield for the remainder of the season.
The 22-year-old striker only joined the Terriers from Falkirk on the final day of the January transfer window, signing a contract until the summer of 2014.
But he has made just two appearances for his new club since making the switch from Scotland, with one of those outings coming from the bench.
Now manager Simon Grayson, who replaced Lee Clark at the Galpharm Stadium helm last month, has elected to allow the former Rochdale youngster to move on.
Tykes boss Keith Hill has snapped up Higginbotham on a deal for the remainder of the season and he will go straight into the squad for Saturday's home clash with Peterborough.
