Polish midfielder signs one-year deal at Oakwell
Barnsley have bolstered their squad with the signing of Polish midfielder Tomasz Cywka on a one-year contract.
Cywka has been a free agent since being released by newly-promoted Premier League club Reading earlier in the summer.
The 23-year-old arrived in English football in 2006, signing for Wigan from Polish side Gwarek Zabrze before going on loan to Oldham and then Derby, where he eventually signed a permanent deal in 2010.
In January of this year he went out on loan to Reading before signing a short-term contract until the end of the season.
He has now found a new club with Barnsley and will be hoping to push for a regular spot in Keith Hill's starting XI.
Cywka has represented Poland at Under 18, Under 19 and Under 21 levels.
