Defender thrilled with 'dream start'

Kamil Zayatte has said he has no regrets in opting to sign for Hull over the likes of Everton and Newcastle, after what he described as his 'dream start' to the season. The 23-year-old defender opened his goalscoring account in Hull's recent 3-0 win over West Brom at the Hawthorns and has helped City to third in the table since his move from Young Boys Berne. Despite spending trial periods with Everton and Newcastle, Zayatte opted for a move to the KC and says he has never looked back from that decision.

Brilliant decision

Speaking to the Hull Mail, Zayatte said: "Originally I was going to go to Everton but the two clubs did not agree on transfer fees. "The coach of Everton (David Moyes) then recommended me to the coach of Newcastle (Kevin Keegan), but the manager and the chairman did not get on. "Then I signed for Hull and I don't regret it. It looks like a brilliant decision."
