Crewe looking to peg back Leeds at Gresty Road

Leeds United could go third in League One with a win at Crewe Alexandra, live on Sky Sports 1 and HD. The Whites ended their festive slump with a win over Northampton last time out, while Crewe sit 19th in the table. Although Crewe have struggled, six of their seven wins have come at Gresty Road. They won the last meeting between the sides with Paul Butler's early own goal settling the contest in November 2005. Dennis Wise has four new players available for the trip with Sebastian Sorsa, on-loan Darren Kenton, Bradley Johnson and Peter Sweeney all in contention. Sweeney could start on the left-hand side of midfield with Ian Westlake (ankle) doubtful, while Matt Heath and Kenton will battle to replace Rui Marques at the back. Alan Thompson is fit again although Jonathan Howson will not travel despite making his comeback for the reserves in midweek, while Leon Constantine (broken arm) and Jonathan Douglas (knee) are long-term casualties. Crewe will have a virtually full strength squad to choose from with only first-choice left-back Billy Jones unavailable due to a knee injury. First-team coach Steve Holland is boosted by the return of No.1 keeper Ben Williams (foot) and midfielder Steven Schumacher (ankle) who have made successful returns to training.
