Wembley is the aim as Leeds tackle Carlisle United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy semi-final first leg.
Whites welcome Cumbrians to West Yorkshire
Wembley is just two games away as Leeds tackle Carlisle United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy semi-final first leg.
The teams met in the League One play-offs in the 2007/08 season with Carlisle claiming an impressive 2-1 win at Leeds thanks to goals from Danny Graham and Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.
Leeds' league form has been patchy of late after following up their 1-1 draw at home to Wycombe by slipping to a surprise 2-0 defeat to Exeter at the weekend.
Carlisle's recent form is little to write home about after going three games without a win including a 3-1 loss at Everton and being defeated by Brentford in the league on Saturday.
Team news
Whites boss Simon Grayson will be without Max Gradel after the on-loan winger's return to parent club Leicester.
Gradel made the final appearance of his current loan deal at the weekend, although Grayson is exploring the possibility of bringing the 22-year-old back at least until the end of the season.
Grayson has no new injury or suspension worries for the two-legged northern area final against the Cumbrians but could be tempted to make changes.
Leeds have turned in successive below-par league performances and Grayson may give his fringe players a chance.
Midfielder Jonny Howson and striker Mike Grella, who both started on the bench on Saturday, are among those pushing for a place in the starting line-up.
Manchester City midfielder Adam Clayton has returned to Carlisle on loan until the end of the season in time for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Leeds.
Clayton, who has made 11 appearances for Greg Abbott's side since initially joining them in early November, missed Saturday's league defeat at Brentford after returning to the City of Manchester Stadium.
But he is back in contention for the two-legged northern area final, subject to paperwork.
Scott Dobie is expected to continue up front alongside Joe Anyinsah following Vincent Pericard's departure and skipper Paul Thirlwell is pushing for a return to the starting line-up after an Achilles injury.
Thirlwell stepped off the bench in the 72nd minute on Saturday while Marc Bridge-Wilkinson came on in the closing stages but David Raven (hip), Andy Cook (foot) and Gavin Rothery (double hernia) are out.
