Davide Somma could start for Leeds against Leicester, who are set to have Conrad Logan in goal.
Striker pushing for Whites start; Logan to get nod for Foxes
Davide Somma could start for Leeds in the Carling Cup tie with Leicester after scoring twice in Saturday's 3-1 Championship win over Millwall.
Boss Simon Grayson could opt to rest Luciano Becchio so the South African could be set for his full debut at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
Defender Ben Parker is back in training after recovering from an Achilles injury and Max Gradel is also back in contention after missing the start of the season due to a four-match ban.
Billy Paynter (shin) and Robert Snodgrass (knee) are still ruled out as is long-term absentee Patrick Kisnorbo (knee).
Grayson has confirmed Calum Davenport is training with his side this week. The former West Ham defender is available after parting company with the Hammers in March.
Leicester news
Conrad Logan is likely to keep his place in the team when Leicester travel to Championship rivals Leeds.
Logan replaced first-choice keeper Chris Weale just before half-time in the 3-0 defeat to Burnley on Saturday.
Weale suffered a shoulder injury at Turf Moor and will probably be rested with the league game against Reading at the weekend in mind.
Logan would perhaps have played anyway having kept goal against Macclesfield in round one.
Striker Matty Fryatt and midfielder Lloyd Dyer were absent on Saturday through injury and boss Paulo Sousa will assess them ahead of the trip to Yorkshire.
"Matty has a problem, not a big injury, but if we risk it we could lose him for one to two months. So we need to protect him and it is the same with Lloyd Dyer," said Sousa.
