Statue officially unveiled on Saturday outside Elland Road
Legendary Leeds United manager Don Revie has been honoured with a statue outside Elland Road.
The statue - sited on Lowfields Road, opposite the East Stand entrance - was officially unveiled on Saturday by members of the 1972 FA Cup final winning team.
Many of the Revie greats were joined by his son Don at the unveiling of the work, which was created by sculptor Graham Ibbeson and paid for by funds raised by fans.
Sunday marked the 40th anniversary of the club's Centenary FA Cup final success and the unveiling was a fitting tribute for Revie, who was handed the role of player-manager in 1961 by then United chairman Harry Reynolds.
Leeds narrowly avoided relegation to the Third Division in Revie's first season in charge but he then went on to manage the Whites to the League Cup, FA Cup, Second Division Championship, League Championship, Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and Charity Shield.
He left Leeds in 1974 to take charge of England and held the national team role until 1977.
