Walsall boss Sean O'Driscoll up for League One December award

Walsall's new boss Sean O'Driscoll is among the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month nominees for December.

O'Driscoll continued the good work of predecessor Dean Smith by winning each of his first three games in charge without conceding a single goal.

Sheffield United also took nine points from nine last month, and Nigel Adkins is also nominated along with Gillingham's Justin Edinburgh, whose team won three of their four games, and Lee Johnson who guided Barnsley to two wins in their three matches.

Walsall are also represented among the Player of the Month nominees as defensive midfielder Adam Chambers is included on the list after protecting a back four that conceded just one goal all month.

Burton goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin is in the running after three clean sheets in five games and a penalty save against Doncaster, whose striker Andy Williams is nominated for the second month running after netting four goals in four appearances.

Blackpool centre-half Tom Aldred completes the nominees.
