Fleetwood's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Walsall on Tuesday evening has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Referee Scott Duncan called the game off after carrying out an early afternoon inspection of the playing surface at Highbury Stadium.

Duncan told the club's official website: "Dale Frith, the groundsman here at Fleetwood, has worked incredibly hard on the pitch, but there's an awful lot of surface water still on it.

"The goalmouths are pretty treacherous and certainly on the far wings, and I have to take the players' safety and the game as a spectacle into consideration.
