The Sky Bet League Two games between Rochdale and Port Vale and Walsall and Chesterfield on Tuesday night have been postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

The match referee at Rochdale called an inspection for 5pm and, with officials from both clubs in attendance, the decision was taken to call the game off with a large amount of standing water on the pitch following heavy rain over the previous 48 hours.

It was a similar story in the West Midlands, where heavy rain put paid to Walsall's match with League One strugglers Chesterfield.
